  Tyrone Presbyterian Church is located perfectly on Jimtown Road just off of Scottdale Dawson Road around 5 minutes from the heart of both Scottdale and Dawson. The church is blessed to be in a location that has a beautiful country setting where it is surrounded by farmers fields, large trees, an old cemetery, and a late 1800s School House on the church's grounds. Tyrone Presbyterian Church has been a pivotal element to this community since it's founding in 1774!
  
  Visiting this congregation for a Sunday Morning Worship Service makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to a scene from the well known Andy Griffith Show where you have friendly congregation members, beautiful traditional piano music, food and drink after the service, a friendly handshake from the minister, and most of all a sermon that is not always the easiest to hear because it is the truth presented to us in, the all inspired word of God, the Bible.
  
  The Church presents many opportunities for people to be involved in community outreach activities. The church has a Blessings Box, food pantry, that is located outside of the Church on the grounds next to the pavilion that is always open for people to "Give What They Can" and to "Take What They Need". They have a boys youth group through their charter of a Boy Scout Troop (bsatroop150.wordpress.com). The men of the congregation can become a member of the church's dart ball league. The church traditionally hosts a couple community outings every year that provides members and guests the opportunity to build their communities through fellowship. They participate in the Dawson Grange Fair by running a festival booth. These things above are just a few of the opportunities that are presented at Tyrone Presbyterian Church. New ideas are always welcomed!
  
  P.S. The grounds are at one of their peak beauties in the Fall when the leaves are changing and the field corn has yet to be harvested! Winter time, especially Christmas Eve Service is also something you won't want to miss!
